The Odisha government has called for a high-level meeting to discuss the implementation and streamlining of apartment registration regulations in the state. The crucial meeting will be chaired by the Chief Secretary and is scheduled to take place on Wednesday afternoon at Lok Seva Bhawan.

According to official sources, the meeting will focus on five key issues related to the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, commonly known as RERA. The agenda aims to address concerns around apartment registration, project approvals, and coordination between various departments and agencies.

Senior officials from the Department of Housing & Urban Development, the Revenue Department, and Forest & Environment Department will participate in the meeting. In addition, representatives from ORERA, BDA, BMC, Town Planning, and WATCO will also be present to provide their inputs and discuss inter-departmental coordination.

This meeting is expected to bring more clarity on apartment ownership, project legality, and registration timelines. It also aims to strengthen transparency and accountability in the real estate sector in Odisha.

The state government is taking proactive steps to ensure that all stakeholders adhere to RERA guidelines and that the rights of homebuyers are protected through the timely enforcement of registration norms.
