Odisha govt dissolves 2 Cooperative Boards in state over corruption charges

From now onwards, the Odisha government will manage the affairs of both the Cooperative Boards.

The Odisha government on Wednesday dissolved two Cooperative Boards in the State over allegations of corruption and financial irregularities.

As per reports, the dissolved Cooperative Boards are Odisha State Cooperative Bank (OSCB) and Odisha Cooperative Housing Corporation (OCHC) Limited.

From now onwards, the Odisha government will manage the affairs of both the Cooperative Boards.

There were corruption and financial irregularities allegations against both the Cooperative Boards. As per sources, the allegation against the president of OSCB has been proven. The action was taken by the State government following the development.

Similarly, allegations regarding the illegal sale of land and financial irregularities were brought against OCHC.
