In a significant step towards realizing the vision of Samruddha Odisha by 2036, the Odisha Government continues to fast-track industrial development and inclusive economic growth.
Reinforcing its commitment to creating a robust investment ecosystem, the 138th meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), chaired by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, approved 23 new investment proposals amounting to Rs 4,982.66 crore, which are poised to generate 11,933 jobs across 12 districts of the State.

These approvals span across strategically important sectors—Apparel & Textiles, Steel & Downstream Industries, Food & Beverages, Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Power & Renewable Energy, IT & ITES, Tourism, and Aerospace & Defence—demonstrating the government’s holistic approach towards balanced regional development and sustainable industrialisation.
This latest wave of investments reflects the State’s progressive policy framework, ease of doing business, and a clear roadmap for growth under Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi’s leadership, aimed at transforming Odisha into a vibrant economic powerhouse by 2036.
Major Sectoral Highlights:
• Apparel & Textiles: In a boost to Odisha’s emerging textile ecosystem, KPR Mill Limited will invest Rs 350 crore in a large-scale garment manufacturing unit in Khordha, with an annual production capacity of 46.8 million pieces, creating 5,000 jobs.
Steel & Downstream Industries: Odisha further strengthens its leadership in metal manufacturing with key projects.
• Vidya Minerals Pvt. Ltd. to set up a 0.21 MTPA integrated steel plant in Sundargarh (Rs 620 crore, 525 jobs).
• Jatia Steel Limited to establish a steel structure unit in Jajpur (Rs 451.90 crore, 175 jobs).
• Additional proposals from Amsted Steel Foundries, Mankash Enterprises, and Steelograph Ascenderswill deepen the State’s downstream capabilities.
Food & Beverages:
• The agro-processing sector sees significant activity. Hindustan Aqua Pvt. Ltd. to set up a beverage unit in Sundargarh (Rs 320 crore, 250 jobs).
• Pragati Milk Products Pvt. Ltd. to develop a dairy facility in Balasore (Rs 114.34 crore, 674 jobs).
Tourism & Hospitality:
• Odisha’s focus on sustainable and luxury tourism gets a major boost with six premium hospitality projects in Puri, Gajapati, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, and Ganjam worth Rs 479 crore, generating 1,352 jobs, and reinforcing Odisha’s appeal as a high-end tourist destination.
Aerospace & Defence – Emerging Technologies:
• Odisha embraces innovation with BonV Technology Pvt. Ltd. investing Rs 300 crore in a futuristic Drone Park in Khordha, an integrated UAV ecosystem for R&D, manufacturing, and training, creating 760 jobs and establishing Odisha as a pioneer in drone technology in India.
Green Energy & Green equipment:
• Ecodynamix Green Energy Pvt. Ltd. will set up a 30 MW solar power plant in Bargarh with an investment of Rs 100 crore.
• Luminous Power Technologies Pvt. Ltd. plans to establish a 1.2 GW solar cell and 1 GW solar PV module manufacturing unit at Gopalpur. The Rs 950 crore project will create around 1,000 jobs.
Industrial Gases, Chemicals, & Pharmaceuticals:
• Linde India is to set up an Air Separation Unit in Sundargarh.
• Growing Tree Oil Refinery Pvt. Ltd. will establish a solvent extraction unit in Bargarh.
• Synnat Pharma Pvt. Ltd. to invest Rs 100 crore in an API manufacturing unit in Cuttack.
Information Technology:
• Apmosys Technologies Pvt. Ltd. will establish a software development centre in Khordha with a proposed investment of Rs 65 crore, generating 155 jobs, showcasing Odisha’s growing appeal in the digital and IT services sector.
