Principals of the colleges have been advised to submit evaluations of insecure and crumbling buildings without any delay.

It further added, “Such infrastructures must be assessed immediately and declared unsafe by the competent authority and reported to the undersigned without any delay. Further to address the infrastructure deficiencies, caused therein, the Principals may place their financial requisitions towards the overall development of college infrastructure including construction and renovation of buildings.”

Immediate Reporting Required

College principals have been directed to report any concerns regarding unsafe conditions in their institutions. In response, the government has assured prompt measures to tackle the issue.

These aging and precarious structures pose significant dangers to students and staff. As such, the department emphasizes the importance of swiftly identifying these buildings and categorizing them as unsafe.
