Odisha is gearing up to host it’s first-ever Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, a landmark event that highlights the State’s unique cultural heritage and burgeoning potential. 

Celebrated for its rich history and warm hospitality, Odisha differentiates itself from other Indian states, positioning itself as an ideal host for this esteemed gathering of the Indian diaspora.

The initiative is a joint expedition by both the Odisha government and the Union government, aiming to present an impressive face of India to the world. The convention represents a platform to showcase the region’s capabilities while extending Odisha’s famed hospitality.

Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan rapped the critiques surrounding the event, advocating for cooperative efforts instead of criticism. 

“I do not wish to engage in criticism. Let us all extend a helping hand and ensure that the Overseas Indians Convention is fruitful,” said Harichandan calling for collective support to ensure the event’s success.

The convention promises to be a significant occasion for Odisha, signifying an opportunity to unfold its history and present to a global audience, underscoring its importance in the Indian narrative.

“All kinds of preparations have been made to present Odisha’s culture, heritage and speciality during the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas. All kinds of possibilities for Odisha’s development will be presented before the Non-Resident Indians so that they will have important contributions to Odisha’s development,” said Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan.
