The Odisha government on Wednesday effected a major reshuffle in IAS cadre and appointed Dr. Bijay Ketan Upadhyaya as the director of Odia Language, Literature & Culture Department.
According to a notification issued by the General Administration and Public Grievance Department, Upadhyaya will also be allowed to remain in additional charge of Director, Odisha Paribar.
Ashish Thakare, who is presently posted as the Collector and District Magistrate (DM) of Balasore, has been appointed as Secretary, Board of Revenue, Odisha, Cuttack, while Dilip Routrai, Director, Odia Language, Literature & Culture with additional charge of Director, Odisha Paribar is appointed as Collector & DM, Bhadrak.
Kamal Lochan Mishra, Collector & DM, Nabarangpur has been appointed as Executive Director, Odisha State Disaster Management Authority. The post of Executive Director, Odisha State Disaster Management Authority is declared equivalent in status and responsibility to the post of Additional Secretary provided in the IAS Cadre of the State, the notification read.
