Odisha Crime Branch takes Kashmiri fraudster Bukhari on 5-day remand

Following Bukhari's arrest and reports about his suspected terror links, his wife, a resident of Neulpur in Dharmashala of Jajpur district, was sacked from her job as a teacher.

The Special Task Force (STF) of the Odisha Crime Branch (CB) has taken Kashmiri fraudster Ishaan Bukhari on a five-day remand for further interrogation. 

As per reports, after the arrest, Bukhari is currently lodged at Ragadi sub-jail in Jajpur. The National Investigating Agency (NIA), Punjab Police, and Kashmir Police are also likely to join the probe in Odisha to ascertain Bukhari’s possible terrorist links. The STF produced Bukhari at the JMFC court at Chandikhole on Monday and the court allowed the agency to take the accused on a 5-day remand.
