After the opening of the Puri Srimandir Ratna Bhandar, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi took a swipe at the former BJD government on Thursday.

Attending the diamond jubilee celebration of Ahemmed Bux High School under Nischintakoili block in Cuttack district as a chief guest, Majhi said that the previous government only created drama over the opening of Ratna Bhandar without taking any action.

“While it was sometimes said that there are no keys available, during other times there was mention of duplicate keys. There was huge confusion about the keys of the Ratna Bhandar. Several questions were raised and you must be seeking the answers as emotions of all are attached with Lord Jagannath. With your blessings, Ratna Bhandar could be opened in around a month’s time,” said Majhi in his speech.

The Chief Minister also rapped the previous BJD government over not opening all four dwaras (doors) of Srimandir.

Notably, the BJP had promised the opening of Ratna Bhandar and the opening of all the four dwaras of Puri Srimandir in its election manifesto before the 2024 General Elections.
