The daughter of a cook and an Anganwadi worker, a Bonda tribe girl has successfully cracked the prestigious Odisha Civil Services (OCS) examination-2022 conducted by the Orissa Public Service Commission (OPSC), the result of which was declared on Saturday.

With no formal coaching or tuition, the brilliant mind has cracked the prestigious exam just by watching YouTube videos. Yes, you read that right!

The brilliant mind Bini Muduli from Bonda Hills in the tribal-dominated Malkangiri district battled all financial constraints to secure an impressive rank and finally become the first OAS officer of her tribe.

Attributing her success to her family and well-wishers, Bini said, “I’m very thankful that I’m the reason for my family’s happy tears. What can a child ask for more than happy tears from their parents.”

“Due to financial constraints, I mainly focused on self-study. My major source of knowledge was YouTube. I watched videos online and gained a lot of knowledge. For the Mains, I had to take the help of an institute after clearing my Prelims,” Bini added.

“My aim for the future is to uplift people of my community and every human being who is struggling to do better in life or who is willing to bring out the best in themselves. I hope my story inspires others who have dreams of doing something in life,” an emotional Bini said.

Despite being a government school student, Bini’s success is an inspiration and a beacon of hope for those who dare to dream big.

With tears of joy in his eyes, Bini’s father who is a cook in a government Aashram school said, “She worked very hard. She always had the dream of doing something big in life. Today, all her hard work has paid off. She has made our entire Bonda tribe proud.”
