In a crucial meeting at Odisha BJP’s headquarters in Bhubaneswar, senior leaders gathered on Monday to plan celebrations for 11 years of the PM Narendra Modi-led central government and 1 year of the party's rule in the State under Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.

BJP to launch outreach efforts soon ahead of the Double Anniversary, a spokesperson said.

According to party sources, a significant meeting took place to strategise on upcoming celebrations marking 11 years of the Modi government at the Centre and the completion of 1 year of the BJP government in Odisha.

The party plans to launch a statewide outreach campaign, during which workers will visit villages to inform citizens about the promises made and delivered by both governments. The focus will be on transparency and accountability, ensuring people are aware of progress made over the past year and the decade of central leadership.

Present at the meeting were Odisha CM Mohan Majhi, BJP state president Manmohan Samal, state in-charge Vijay Pal Singh Tomar, co-in-charge Lata Usendi, along with party office bearers, spokespersons, morcha presidents, and district unit heads.

The BJP aims to use the anniversary as an opportunity to strengthen its grassroots connect and consolidate its recent electoral gains in the State.

“A brainstorming session is going on to decide on strategies to reach out to people at the grassroots level and to tell them the achievements of ‘double-engine sarkar’. In fact, the party will present before people its report card for the last year,” a local leader stated.

State-level programmes will be held between June 12 and June 15. The Odisha government has plans to take up several programmes across the State in the days ahead. District, block, and panchayat level programmes will also be conducted.

1 crore families targeted

The party will carry out a massive campaign across the State from June 9. The party has targeted to reach out to around 1 crore families.

BJP had given 21 commitments to the people during the 2024 General Elections. The BJP-led government has fulfilled 11 of its commitments specified in the election manifesto.
