Ahead of the 2024 General Elections, the Odisha unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday announced a 35-member new team of office-bearers. The announcement coincides with Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s two-day visit to the state starting today.
State BJP President Manmohan Samal's new team has 10 Vice-Presidents, five General Secretaries, 10 Secretaries and one Treasurer. Moreover, the names of presidents of different morchas have also been announced.
As per reports, the BJP camp in the State is all charged up for Shah’s visit to the state today and Samal chose the occasion to announce his 35-member new team.
“I would like to congratulate all the members of the new committee. The members of the committee will definitely be helpful to take forward the work of the BJP and form the government in the State. We all will work to form the BJP government in the State in 2024. The new team has brought a new spirit and we all will work hard to take BJP forward,” said the saffron party Vice-President Golak Mohapatra.
“We are fighting to help people avail various schemes of the Union government. We will have a session with Union Minister Amit Shah tomorrow regarding our strategy for the 2024 General Elections,” said Mohapatra.
“All the members of the committee will try their best to make the party victorious. They will give their optimum energy for the upliftment of the people and development of the State,” said party General Secretary Sarada Prasad Satapathy.
