BJP National President JP Nadda is scheduled to attend the Odisha BJP’s extended executive committee meeting starting July 19.
As per official sources, this will be the first crucial meeting of the Odisha BJP leaders, elected representatives and office bearers after the party came to power by dethroning the Naveen Patnaik-led BJD government.
Earlier, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh was scheduled to attend the two-day executive committee meeting in Odisha. However, BJP National President JP Nadda will be attending the event on July 19 owing to Singh’s unavailability due to health issues, informed Odisha BJP president Manmohan Samal today.
The BJP’s two day extended executive committee meeting is scheduled to be held in Puri on July 19 and 20.
State BJP vice president Biranchi Tripathy said, “At the meeting, the coordinators for Assembly and Lok Sabha constituencies, district presidents, officials of various morchas, CM and all MLAs, MPs, Union Ministers of the party will be present. The political situation and other crucial aspects along with welfare programmes will be discussed and next course of action will be prepared.”
According to Tripathy, BJP has got the blessings of the people of the state and it will ensure good governance. “The BJP will do whatever it takes to make Odisha a developed state,” Tripathy added.
