Odisha Assembly session from Feb 5; interim budget to be presented by Finance Minister

Ahead of the crucial 2024 elections, the budget session of the Odisha Legislative Assembly will commence on February 5, 2024. As per rules, the vote-on-account or interim budget will be presented by Odisha Finance Minister during the Assembly Session which will have seven working days.

The vote-on-account will be brought for the first four months of the Financial Year 2024-25.

Earlier, it has been observed that despite adequate working days, there have been repeated disruptions in the Odisha Assembly. Under such circumstances, it remains to be seen whether the upcoming Odisha Assembly session functions smoothly or not.

The first day of the upcoming Assembly will start with the Governor’s address on February 5.
