Odisha actor Buddhaditya Mohanty apologises for his remark on Rahul Gandhi
Days after sharing a controversial post on Facebook, Ollywood actor Buddhaditya Mohanty on Monday issued an apology to Congress and the supporters of Rahul Gandhi. Through a video message, the ‘Bye Bye Dubai’ actor said that it was a human error and a dark moment of his life.
In a now deleted post, Mohanty had shared that Leader of Opposition (LoP) Rahul Gandhi should be the next target of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who hit the headlines for his alleged role in lawmaker Baba Siddique’s murder in Mumbai.
Apologising for his remarks, Mohanty said, “The post I had shared on Lawrence Bishnoi and Rahul Gandhi is a human error and a dark moment. It was out of my control and I shared it without giving any thought. I had read it on the web before, but I never believed in it. There are a lot of rumours online and I don’t believe in them. After sharing the post, I immediately realised I shouldn’t have written it,” said Buddhaditya Mohanty.
“I got back to my senses and soon deleted the post. I even apologized to everyone through Facebook. I never believe in controversy or have never been part of controversial things. I share posts about different news, my beliefs, and my country. I only focus on representing my state and taking Odisha forward. I once again with folded hands beg pardon to Congress and everyone for the post I shared inadvertently,” he added.
What Had Ollywood Actor Buddhaditya Mohanty Written?
“Germany had the Gestapo… Israel has the Mossad… USA has the CIA… now India has Lawrence Bishnoi… next in the list should be Owaisi and Rahul Gandhi,” the actor had shared.
