Actor Hitesh Das
Hitesh Das, an Odia actor, was allegedly misbehaved with and asked to shoot a music video in Bhubaneswar for free which led to an altercation in the shooting set.
As per Das, he was roped in for a music video by a producer from outside state and the shoot was scheduled at Jayadev Vatika in Bhubaneswar.
However, when Das called the producer to talk about his fees a day before the shoot, he was allegedly asked to shoot for free.
Das then went to the shooting sets on Tuesday to speak to the Producer where he was allegedly misbehaved with and was asked to leave, following which a ruckus ensued disrupting the shoot.
The producer then went to the Khandagiri Police Station to complain about the incident. Das also filed a counter complaint accusing the producer of cheating.
Speaking on the incident, Das said, “The Odisha agent of the producer had hired me for a big project. However when I called the producer for discussing remuneration, I was misbehaved with and denied any remuneration if I do the project. I was misbehaved at the set, which is unacceptable.”
Das’ friend, Ananya Mishra who had also gone to the shooting set this morning, said, “We (Das & Mishra) were involved in another project. And because the producer, Kailash Rathi claimed to be a big shot from a reputed National level production company, we kept our project on hold and spared time for him. But in the end, Rathi not only duped us, he wasted our precious time.”
It is pertinent to mention here that Das did not sign any agreement for the big project neither he was paid any signing amount for the same.
The producer was not available for comments on the matter.
