The OAS Association became a victim of the conspiracy hatched by the opposition. After spending six days in Jharpada Jail, BJP leader Jagannath Pradhan made this statement upon his release today.

'I have no direct or indirect involvement'

He also said, “I have no direct or indirect involvement in the attack on the BMC Additional Commissioner. No one can stop the Mohan Majhi government’s public welfare programmes. BJP has always stood firmly with the people.”

“The whole conspiracy was orchestrated by the Opposition. OAS Association was a victim of that conspiracy. The administrative authorities should understand this ploy. The authorities ensure proper execution of the Mohan Majhi government’s policies and the smooth running of the government. The administrative authorities are also a part of our family. Hence, we all should work like a family and push Odisha towards development,” said Jagannath Pradhan.

Timeline of events

Jagannath Pradhan, who was embroiled in controversy over the attack on the BMC Additional Commissioner, was arrested on the 3rd of this month. He had surrendered at the DCP office and was arrested by the police that same night. Later, after his bail plea was rejected, he was sent to Jharpada Jail.

Jagannath Pradhan was granted bail by the Khordha District and Sessions Court today morning. After being granted bail, Jagannath Pradhan walked out of jail. His supporters welcomed him with much fanfare and took him out in a grand procession. The rally was led in the presence of Ekamra MLA Babu Singh, with supporters enthusiastically following Jagannath Pradhan.
