With the dry weather prevailing across Odisha, there might not be any rain on Diwali (Sunday) in the State, predicted India Meteorological Centre (IMD) on Wednesday.
Apart from that, night temperature in the State is likely to drop by two to three degrees making it cooler for the next two days. Temperature will remain the same after that.
Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre Chief, HR Biswas said, “The next 24 hours will be mostly dry in Odisha except for one or two places in Malkangiri and Koraput which may experience light rainfall. After that, dry weather is most likely to prevail in all the districts till November 14.”
“Though no significant change in temperature will happen, the night temperature might experience a falling tendency for the next two days,” Biswas informed.
This is likely to provide some respite to the people as they were missing the winter chill in November first week and rise in the day temperature was also creating much inconvenience.
It is pertinent to mention here that, interior parts of Odisha, particularly the districts of Sundargarh, Koraput and Kandhamal are experiencing colder nights and mornings from the past few days.
