No proposal to rename Ravenshaw University, says Odisha Minister in Assembly 

While addressing a query from Biju Janata Dal (BJD) MLA Ranendra Pratap Swain in the Assembly, the Minister said that no such proposal to rename the historic institution is under consideration of the government at present.

There is no proposal to change the name of Ravenshaw University, Higher Education Minister Suryabanshi Suraj said in the Odisha Assembly on Friday.

While addressing a query from Biju Janata Dal (BJD) MLA Ranendra Pratap Swain in the Assembly, the Minister said that no such proposal to rename the historic institution is under consideration of the government at present.

Political Discussions Stirred by Union Minister

The discussion around the Ravenshaw University's name change had heightened following a proposal by Union Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, which prompted significant political discourse across the state.
