‘No helmet, no salary’ notification creates flutter among teachers in Odisha's Mohana

Wear a helmet while riding a bike, or else salary will be withheld. Such a notification carrying the signature Mohana Block Education Officer (BEO) in the Gajapati district has now created a flutter among the teachers.

In the letter issued on June 27, it has been mentioned that all the elementary teachers of the block are directed to wear helmets while riding the bike for the safety of life.

"Anyone seen without a helmet while riding the bike by the BEO or ABEO will be punished and salary will be withheld for one month," the letter read. No comments were received from the concerned district education officer or the block education officer.
