Very soon, foreign investment will be flowing into Odisha, tourists from across the world will be flocking the state and a new chapter is going to be added in Odisha's tourism history. Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, who returned from London on Saturday after attending the World Tourism Market 2024 held at the Excel Centre, exuded such hopes.
She said Odisha’s pristine beaches, dense forest, sanctuaries historic temples and available infrastructure were presented at WTM 2024. From among 14 states’ presentations, the one at the Odisha pavilion stood out as par excellent, she added.

“We had three rounds of meeting with the expatriates living in London who are closely associated with Odisha tourism. I had also discussions with India’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, India’s Consulate Generals in Edinburgh and Scotland, tour operators, tour guides and travel bloggers. Besides Pramod Mittal, I also discussed with investors and destination wedding planners. A new chapter is going to be added in the Odisha Tourism very soon,” she said.
For the development of Konark, the 480-km-long coastline, Chilika Lake, Similipal, Debrigarh and Deomali, a detailed roadmap has been prepared. During my visit, I had a discussion with the Union Minister about the projects left mid-way, she added.
She said she has invited all Diaspora to join the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas to be held in the coming days.
