Nayagarh's Daspalla set to get rail connectivity soon

The long wait of Daspalla residents for rail connectivity will come to an end soon as the construction of the station and railway tracks have reached the final stage.

Commissioner of Railway Safety AM Chowdhary and Khordha DRM H S Bajwa visited Daspalla station in a special train on Wednesday and reviewed the railway project connecting Nuagaon to Daspalla.

Besides, the two senior railway officials also inspected the panel room and loop lines of Daspalla station during their visit.

Following the review work, the senior officials will submit a detailed report to the Railway Ministry after which the date for the commencement of train services will be decided, sources said.

“We are hopeful that Daspalla will get rail connectivity soon. After the senior officials submit their report, the East Coast Railways will finalise the date,” said Ajay Kumar Mohapatra, station master.

“The commissioner for railway safety visited the station and this is a mandatory inspection. After reviewing the railway project, he will give his feedback. If the project lacks something, then necessary steps will be taken and train services will kick start,” said HS Bajwa, Khordha DRM.
