A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan, Suryakant Kuanr from Sompur village under Jagatsinghpur’s Ersama Police limits is reportedly missing for three days.
As per his wife, there is no trace of Kuanr after he attended his grandmother’s last rites on April 17.
Kuanr came home recently on leave for the last rites of his grandmother and has been staying with his wife in another village.
While his whereabouts are yet to be ascertained, his motorcycle was recovered near Dhanamandal hills under Jajpur’s Badachana Police limits and it has deepened the mystery behind his disappearance.
His wife, Bijita Mohanty said, “My husband is missing for the past three days. I waited for a day for him to come back and tried to contact his friends and family but failed to locate him. Then I filed a complaint at the police station, but they did not register the FIR.”
“Now his bike has been found and I fear the worst. Had the police acted immediately, his whereabouts would have been confirmed by now,” she alleged.
She further said, “Police are my last hope. He is either kidnapped or something bad has happened to him. Please bring him back.”
