Other Bus Services Launched By BJP Govt In Odisha

In January 2025, Odisha's Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi inaugurated a series of new bus services aimed at enhancing public transportation and boosting tourism across the state. This initiative introduced five double-decker buses, ten hop-on-hop-off buses, and twenty-five electric buses, focusing on improving connectivity within key cities such as Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, and Puri.

Double-Decker Buses:

The double-decker buses are designed to provide a unique and efficient travel experience for passengers commuting between Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, and Puri. Operating on a structured timetable, these buses aim to facilitate convenient transportation for both residents and tourists.

Hop-On Hop-Off Buses:

In Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, the newly introduced hop-on-hop-off buses cater specifically to tourists, connecting major attractions and landmarks within these cities. This service offers flexibility and convenience, allowing passengers to explore the cultural and historical sites at their own pace. With frequent stops and affordable fares, the hop-on-hop-off buses are set to enhance the tourism experience in Odisha's urban centers.

Electric Buses:

Complementing these services, the introduction of twenty-five electric buses underscores the state's commitment to sustainable and eco-friendly transportation solutions. These electric buses are expected to reduce the carbon footprint and promote greener travel options for daily commuters and tourists alike.
