A shocking incident has come to light from the Talsara police limits in Sundargarh district, where a minor girl was allegedly kidnapped and held captive in a rented house and raped for 14 days.
The girl had suddenly gone missing two weeks ago, raising concerns among her family members.
According to reports, the victim managed to escape and informed her family members, detailing the horrifying ordeal. Subsequently, the father of the victim filed a written complaint at the Talsara police station.
Acting on the complaint, the police registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident. The accused in the case has reportedly been arrested. As per police sources, the accused will be forwarded to the court tomorrow.
The authorities have recorded the minor’s statement and are continuing their probe into the incident. Further legal action is underway. Police have stated that the accused is a resident of a nearby village.

Earlier on July 16, the minor girl reportedly went out of her house and didn't return. Following the development, the family members of the girl had a frantic search. However, when they failed to find the girl, her father lodged a missing complaint at Talsara police station on July 20.
Though police tried to trace the girl, they were not successful. Eventually, the girl managed to escape from captivity and reached her home to inform about her ordeal.
