Man kills friend over dispute in Odisha’s Bolangir; detained

A man was reportedly killed over an argument with his friend at Mudkani village square under Turekela police station limits in Bolangir district.

The deceased has been identified as Kishore Parabhu. The accused, Sridhar Sabar, has been detained.

According to reports, Kishore was engaged in household work earlier in the day. He later went to the village square where he got involved in an argument with Sridhar. Following the verbal spat between the two, Sridhar allegedly attacked Kishore violently on the head.

Kishore collapsed and remained unconscious despite several attempts to revive him. He was rushed to hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Eyewitness Recounts Incident

A local villager, describing the moments after the attack, said, “Sridhar struck him on the head and Kishore collapsed unconscious. We tried to revive him and even gave him water, but he did not respond. He was rushed to hospital, where doctors declared him dead.”

Cause Of Attack Still Unclear

The motive behind the alleged murder remains unknown. Investigators said the two men were close friends, adding a layer of shock to the incident. The circumstances leading to the fatal altercation are yet to be fully established.

Police Maintain Silence

Till the last report came in, police had reached Mudkani village and started an investigation.
