Man impersonating as Vigilance SP dupes contractor of Rs 7.6L, arrested

During the investigation, police seized cash worth Rs 2.60 lakh and ATM cards of six banks from the possession of the accused.

The Commissionerate Police arrested a person who, impersonating as a Vigilance Superintendent of Police, fleeced a contractor of Rs 7. 60 lakh on the promise of giving him some contractual works. The accused has been identified as Manoj Kumar Majhi, a resident of Krushnaprasad area of Puri district.

During the investigation, police seized cash worth Rs 2.60 lakh and ATM cards of six banks from his possession.
