Malkangiri twin brothers shine as district toppers in Odisha BSE Matric exam with identical scores

In a remarkable outcome from Malkangiri district, twin brothers Daniel Lenka and Dambaru Lenka have jointly topped the Class 10 board examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) by securing the same total marks in the district. Both students scored 560 marks and have emerged as district toppers in the board exam. This year, the district recorded a pass percentage of 96.41 per cent.

What has surprised many is that while the subject-wise marks of the two brothers differ, their total scores are exactly the same. Born on the same day and studying in the same class, they have managed to achieve the same academic milestone together.

The twins have been receiving congratulatory messages and best wishes from across the district for their accomplishment.

Toppers Acknowledge Family and Teachers

Speaking on his achievement, Daniel Lenka said, “I scored 560 in the examination and passed with an A1 grade. It was always my dream to get an A1 and pass matriculation. Everyone, from our parents to our teachers, kept motivating us to keep going forward and achieve success.”

Dambaru Lenka also shared his thoughts, stating, “I have scored 93.33 per cent and passed my matriculation. I give all the credit to my parents, family, and teachers for my success. I would also like to thank my brother, as we were in the same class and could always discuss topics and study together. Our teachers supported us like a backbone and did everything they could to help.”

Statewide Matric Results Declared

The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha on Friday declared the Class 10 examination results. Out of 5,02,417 students who appeared, 4,84,863 cleared the examination. Among them, 2,40,251 were boys and 2,44,612 were girls, with an overall pass percentage of 96 per cent.
