A major fire broke out at a three-story building near Nandan Vihar in Bhubaneswar on Thursday morning.
As many as three people have been rescued safely by fire service personnel soon after the blaze broke out. The health condition of the trio is stated to be stable.
However, the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. It is suspected that the fire started due to a short circuit.
Two fire services teams comprising 13 personnel were pressed into action to control the fire. The flames were completely doused by the fire services personnel in a couple of hours.
As per reports, three persons sleeping on the first floor of the private building first saw smoke coming out of AC at around 6 am. Subsequently, they called the fire service personnel who reached the spot immediately and doused the fire.
The three persons including a woman and children were rescued through the window with the help of a ladder. Initially, they had some respiratory problems. However, after undergoing primary treatment, their condition is stable now.
