A low-pressure area over the south-eastern and adjoining south-western Bay of Bengal is likely to form around November 15, informed the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday.
Under its influence, coastal Odisha and some parts of the interior Odisha may experience rainfall activities after November 16.
However, the weather for the next five days will largely be dry, informed the MeT department.
Informing the same, Bhubaneswar MeT Centre Chief, HR Biswas said, “Dry weather is likely to prevail over all the districts of Odisha for the next five days, till November 15. After that, there are chances of rain in coastal Odisha and adjoining interior areas around November 16.”
The weather in the last 24 hours was mostly dry in Odisha. Keonjhar recorded a minimum temperature of 12.8 degree Celsius, G Udaygiri recorded 10.5 degree Celsius, Phulbani recorded 13 degree Celsius, Daringibadi 13 degrees, Koraput 11 degrees and Semiliguda 11.1 degree Celsius.
Bhubaneswar city recorded a minimum temperature of 20 degree Celsius. As per the MeT centre, the minimum temperature or the night temperature in Bhubaneswar is unlikely to change significantly in the next five days.
