The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued yellow warning for six coastal Odisha districts after a low pressure was formed over the Bay of Bengal on Tuesday.
As per the IMD, the upper air cyclonic circulation still persists over South Andaman Sea extending up to the middle tropospheric levels tilting southwestwards with height. Under its influence, a low pressure area has formed over Southeast Bay of Bengal today. It is likely to move west-northwestwards and intensify into a Depression over Westcentral Bay of Bengal around November 16.
Light to moderate rain coupled with thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over some districts of Odisha after November 15, informed the Bhubaneswar MeT Centre.

Light to moderate rain/ thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of South Coastal Odisha, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur and at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara. Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest of the districts of Odisha.

Thunderstorm with lightening is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Dhenkanal and Mayurbhanj.

Light to moderate rain/ thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of North Coastal Odisha, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Keonjhar, Bhadrak and Jajpur. Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest of the districts of Odisha.
