They can’t utter a single word, but their love for each other does the job. A heartwarming love story that started via social media has ended in an exchange of garlands.

Babuli Khanda is a native of Bishnupur village in Balasore’s Baliapal area. Kakatpur in Puri district, far kilometers away from Bishnupur, is the village of Kiranbala Nayak. They have one thing in common. They are deaf and dumb.
With the passage of time, they grew, went to schools and colleges in their respective areas, unbeknownst to the fact that they are born for each other.
Five years ago, social media platform Facebook got them an opportunity to know each other. Though they didn’t see each other in flesh, they got attracted to each other. Initially, they were only good friends. Later, they joined an ITI college. By then, they already knew that they had fallen in love, and that their love was beyond all the physical aspects. They groomed their love with mental closeness. They then decided to get united for the rest of their lives.
When they spoke to their respective family members, the latter gave respect to their decision and instantly gave their consent.
Recently, their marriage was solemnised following the Vedic traditions. Family members, friends and relatives from both the sides attended the wedding to bless the newlywed couple.
“I had been looking for a bride for my son for the last three years. When I came to know about his choice, my happiness knew no bounds. Now I pray to the God to shower His blessings on them so that they can spend their married life happily,” said Subash Khanda, father of Babuli.
“After coming to know about Kiran from my son, we gave our consent. Then we visited Kiran’s house and fixed the marriage date. My only wish for them is they should live happily,” said Bularani Khanada, Babuli’s mother.
The villagers were also happy at the unison of the divyang couple.
“From the love story of Babuli and Kiran, we were able to understand what the eternal and pure love between Radha and Krishna is. We all turned up to bless the newlywed couple,” said Chandan Jena, a villager.
