Leader of Opposition (LoP) and senior BJD leader Naveen Patnaik has successfully undergone a surgical procedure for Cervical Arthritis at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Mumbai. The operation, carried out by eminent cardiac surgeon Dr Ramakanta Panda, has been a success, and Patnaik is now under post-operative observation.
Dr Panda, who also serves as Patnaik’s personal physician, confirmed that the four-hour-long operation went smoothly. He stated that the first two hours involved procedural preparations, while the remaining two hours were dedicated to the core surgical intervention.
Top Spine Specialist Flown In for the Surgery
Revealing further details, Dr Panda said, “With the blessings of Lord Jagannath, the operation was successful. A renowned spine surgeon from Coimbatore was brought in especially for the procedure.”
Post-surgery, Naveen Patnaik was shifted to the recovery room and will remain under close observation for the next 48 hours, as per medical protocol, said Dr Panda, adding that he is stable, recovering well, and there is no cause for concern.
