Long queues witnessed outside Anganwadi centres in Odisha as registration for Subhadra Yojana begins

Registration for the much-awaited Subhadra Yojana in Odisha commenced on Sunday. Beneficiaries will get the necessary form for it from the Anganwadi centres. Anganwadi workers have also been directed to supply the forms by moving door-to-door.

After filling up the form, applicants have to submit it via online or in the nearby Mo Seva Kendras or Common Seva Kendras.

As per reports, though it was Sunday, long queues were witnessed outside the Anganwadi centres and Mo Seva Kendras to collect forms for Subhadra Yojana today.

Forms for the Subhadra Yojana of the Odisha government are available at all the Anganwadi centres, Block offices, Mo Seva Kendras and Jan Seva Kendras in plenty free of cost as per the guidelines issued by the Odisha government. Even Anganwadi workers are distributing the forms in villages. They are also creating awareness on how to fill up the form.

Anganwadi workers have distributed around 26,000 forms today in Balasore though it was Sunday. Long queues were also witnessed outside the Anganwadi centres in Jagatsinghpur to collect the form. Several applicants also thronged Mo Seva Kendras to fill up the online form. Meanwhile, officials at the BMC office were given training in this regard.

“We will visit door-to-door and distribute the forms for Subhadra Yojana. We will also make people aware of how to fill up the form and submit it in the nearby Mo Seva Kendras or Common Seva Kendras,” said Manorama Parida, an Anganwadi worker in Balasore.

“Anganwadi workers taught us on how to fill up the form. We welcome Subhadra Yojana and are very happy about it,” said Annapurna Jena, an applicant in Jagatsinghpur.

“Forms are now available at Anganwadi centres. The applicants should come to us after filling up the form with the help of Anganwadi workers. Then we will apply it online,” said Subhendu Khuntia, owner of a Jan Seva Kendra in Bhadrak.
