Tension erupted at the hostel of a private coaching institute at Chandrasekharpur in Bhubaneswar on Friday after a lizard was allegedly found in dinner provided to the inmates.
“Yesterday morning, upma was given to us in breakfast. A centipede was found in the food. When we complained, we were told that quality food would be supplied. And today, a lizard was found. Some students had already had their dinner when we were told that a lizard was found in the food,” an inmate alleged.

When asked, the superintendent of the hostel admitted and said, “By the time we came to know about the incident, some inmates had already had their food. We are keeping a watch on them. If required, they will be provided medical treatment.”
On being informed, a team from Chandrasekharpur Police Station reached the spot and tried to pacify the agitated students.
