Little girl Neelam meets Rahul Gandhi on stage in Odisha, shares heart-warming moment

In a touching moment during a Congress gathering, a young girl named Neelam Bastia met Rahul Gandhi on stage in Bhubaneswar on Friday. 

As per reports, the interaction lasted for quite some time, as Rahul interacted with her. He even offered her chocolates and shared a gentle hug, creating a joyful atmosphere.  Neelam also gifted a kiss to Rahul.

Neelam, visibly thrilled to meet Rahul Gandhi up close, couldn’t hide her happiness from the crowd.

"Rahul Gandhi asked my name and in which class I am studying. I answered his queries by telling him that my name is Neelam Bastia and I am reading in Class VI. He also asked me about my favourite subject and I told him that Mathematics is my favourite subject and I get good scores in it," said Neelam.

"I also informed him that my mother is a huge fan of his. Then he asked me to give a kiss, and I obliged. Rahulji gave me a chocolate and asked me to study well. When he asked me about my future ambition, I expressed interest in doing politics like him. I will share the chocolate given by Rahulji with my mother," she added.

Notably, Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge received a grand welcome as they arrived in Odisha to participate in the ‘Samvidhan Bachao Samavesh’ and other key Congress programmes. The Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha and the Congress president were greeted at Bhubaneswar airport by state leaders and hundreds of party workers, marking Gandhi’s first visit to the state since the BJP formed its maiden government last year.
