Adequate police forces have been deployed at KIIT campus
Following the unfortunate death of a Nepali student at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) University in Bhubaneswar, post-mortem of the body will be conducted on Tuesday.
As per sources, the post-mortem will be conducted at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bhubaneswar as soon as the student’s family arrives. It is expected to be conducted between 8 am to 9 am.
The incident, believed to be a suicide, occurred within one of the campus hostels on Sunday afternoon. The news has brought a palpable sense of unrest amongst the students of the university.
Adequate police forces have been reportedly deployed at the university campus to ensure peace and continue the investigation into this tragic event.
Meanwhile, two security guards have been reportedly detained following allegations of assaulting students at KIIT campus. Infocity police detained the security guards following an allegation by the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).
The incident, which reportedly occurred on the KIIT campus, gained significant attention after a video depicting the altercation went viral on various social media platforms. Despite the video evidence, the identities of the security guards involved remain unconfirmed.
Comments could not be obtained from KIIT authorities and police about the incidents.
