Family seeks help from Baijayant Panda to bring back dead body of Odia worker from Dubai
BJP National Vice-President and Kendrapara MP, Baijayant Panda sought diplomatic intervention of the Indian Embassy in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to bring back the body of an Odisha resident who died in Dubai.
In a letter to the Indian Ambassador, Panda has requested the Embassy to take steps to facilitate the return of the body of Abyakta Prasad Singh, who was a resident of the Niali area in Cuttack district.
As per reports, Singh was working in a private company in Dubai. He passed away in a road accident on August 23. Subsequently, Singh’s colleagues informed the family members about his death. However, the family members alleged that the company authorities have not yet informed them anything about the tragic incident.
With no help in sight to bring back the body of Singh to perform the last rites, his family members approached Panda seeking help to bring the body back from the foreign land.
Subsequently, Panda took the initiative in this regard and wrote a letter to the Indian Embassy to intervene and facilitate the return of the body to India.
