In a gruesome incident, a Kangaroo court in the capital city Bhubaneswar forced two minor boys to kneel down as punishment for allegedly passing lewd comments on some school girls. Apart from two boys, their fathers were also made to kneel down.
This incident took place at Baramunda village under Khandagiri police limits.
The incident has made so much impact that one of the boys who was made to kneel down attempted suicide. He was rushed to Capital Hospital in critical condition.
Police, meanwhile, detained two persons in this connection and started interrogating them.
The complainant Suresh Taranga said, "My nephews who are Class 10 students of Baramunda High School used to have ‘khatti’ near a gym. They had an argument over a petty issue. President of the Chesta Group was going past the gym at that time. He shouted at them and left the place.
Tarang went on to add: "Later, he made that video viral and called upon Baramunda villagers in a meeting. He leveled a false allegation against my nephews. He even called parents of the students involved in the tiff. He made my son, my nephew, my brother to kneel down in the presence of others. When I reached the spot, I was forced to kneel down on road. We were also made to do sit-ups.”
