The row over Kamiya Jani does not seem to die down so easily as a Brahmin organisation submitted a memorandum to Odisha Governor Raghubar Das on Wednesday seeking action against the YouTuber and 5T Chairperson and BJD leader VK Pandian.
An 11-member delegation of the ‘Vaidika Brahmana Parishad’ met the Governor at Raj Bhawan in Bhubaneswar and submitted the memorandum.
They accused Youtuber Kamiya Jani of eating beef and entering Srimandir in Puri. They also demanded action against VK Pandian for inviting her and facilitating her visit to Srimandir.
The Brahman council warned to protest by sitting in front of the Srimandir and perform a purification ritual if their demands are not met.
“Both Kamiya Jani and the person who facilitated her visit, have committed a sin. We want stern action against them. We will not stop here. We will inform this to the Prime Minister and President too. If no action is taken, we will be forced to resort to protest,” said Sudhansu Sekhar Mohapatra, Working President of Odisha Vaidika Brahmana Parishad.
It can be reminded that a massive controversy had erupted after Kamiya Jani, who has been accused of having consumed and promoted beef through her YouTube channel, entered Srimandir accompanied by VK Pandian. Both were seen consuming ‘mahaprasad’ in the Radha Ballav mutt whose pictures went viral on social media.
