According to sources, Mamuni approached the Law Minister regarding a dispute over pending payments as well as verbal and physical abuses. The controversy reportedly stems from fallout that occurred days ago between the actress and Nandu, the owner of ‘Ashok Samrat’ Jatra party. Mamuni had accused him of refusing to clear her dues and of abusing her in public using offensive language, even allegedly inciting others to assault her.

Following the incident, Mamuni had filed a formal complaint at a local police station.

“I had not been delivered justice, and no action was taken despite previously lodging an FIR, for which I met the Law Minister today seeking justice. The Minister has assured me, and I hope that I will get justice. I don’t want to tell more details. I will instead let you (media) know what will be the outcome of today’s meeting,” the Jatra actress said.

Nandu Babu welcomes the step

In response to her allegations, Ananta Narayan Dhal has stated that he welcomes the legal course and denied any wrongdoing. “They (Mamuni and her husband Bapi Panda) are not disciplined people,” he remarked, indicating confidence in his defense.

The incident has sparked discussion in Jatra community, a vibrant and often controversial entertainment circuit where financial and personal disputes sometimes spill into the public eye. Allegations and counter allegations have grappled the community.
