Introduction of E-Stamping: Check Commission for licensed stamp vendors after Odisha Cabinet decision

The licensed stamp vendors are getting about 1 percent to 4 percent commission in selling non-judicial stamp papers ranging from Rs 1 to Rs 25,000 denomination of stamp paper.

In order to reduce procurement cost of non-judicial stamp papers and introduction of e-stamping, the Odisha Cabinet on Saturday announced several measures.

The licensed stamp vendors engaged as Authorised Collection Centre (ACC) under e-stamping system will get a commission of 0.85 percent by the state government on collection of stamp duty above and over the commission provided by the Stock Holding Corporation on the issue of e-stamp papers.
