In order to reduce procurement cost of non-judicial stamp papers and introduction of e-stamping, the Odisha Cabinet on Saturday announced several measures.
The licensed stamp vendors engaged as Authorised Collection Centre (ACC) under e-stamping system will get a commission of 0.85 percent by the state government on collection of stamp duty above and over the commission provided by the Stock Holding Corporation on the issue of e-stamp papers.
The licensed stamp vendors are getting about 1 percent to 4 percent commission in selling non-judicial stamp papers ranging from Rs 1 to Rs 25,000 denomination of stamp paper.
Other Cabinet Decisions
In order to meet domestic use of urea for increase agricultural production and other ancillary industrial activities with economic growth and revival sick units, stamp duty and registration fees amounting to Rs 31, 32, 11, 502.85 on the sub-lease deed land measuring Ac 856.360 decimal to be executed in favour of Talcher Fertiliser Ltd is remitted.
The cabinet also approved the proposal for further amendment of Odisha (Non-Government Colleges, Junior Colleges and Higher Secondary Schools) Grant-in-Aid Order 2014.

The State Cabinet also approved the proposal of 21 new and upgradation transmission projects by OPTCL within a period of 5 years under Phase II of Odisha Transmission System Strengthening Programme with 30 percent equity support from the state government which will be a part of Chief Minister’s Power Development Programme.
OPTCL has come up with a proposal to take up 6 grid sub-stations, up gradation of existing GSS and transmission lines, implementation of Sub-Station Automation System which are financially remunerative under phase II of OTSSP. This will provide steady and reliable power supply to upcoming industries such as Pradip Plastic Park, Angul Aluminium Park, Bhadrak Textile Park, Neulapoi Industrial Estate.
