Infant girl found abandoned in Odisha’s Bhadrak 

A newborn baby girl was found dumped near the Dhamra petrol pump in Bhadrak district in the late hours of Monday night. The rescued infant is presently undergoing treatment at Bhadrak district headquarters hospital (DHH).

In a heart-wrenching incident, a newborn baby girl was found dumped near the Dhamra petrol pump in Bhadrak district in the late hours of Monday night. The rescued infant is presently undergoing treatment at Bhadrak district headquarters hospital (DHH). 

According to sources, a social activist Sumant Mohanty first heard the cries of a baby near the Dhamra petrol pump. He went to the place from where the cries were coming only to find a newborn baby girl dumped there. He rescued her and rushed her to Dhamra primary health centre (PHC). All the required treatments were provided to the infant at the PHC before shifting her to the Bhadrak DHH.
