The select committee report on the new Income Tax Bill was presented in the Lok Sabha on Monday.

Following the presentation of the bill, Baijayant Panda, Chairperson of the select committee, extended his appreciation to all committee members for their dedication and teamwork in examining the bill thoroughly.

Panda praised the members for their commitment and collective effort in completing the extensive task within the stipulated timeframe without seeking any extension. He expressed his gratitude to all members for their hard work and timely completion of the report.

Highlighting the committee’s collaborative spirit, Baijayant Panda shared the update on the social media platform X (earlier known as Twitter), noting that the committee operated with a non-partisan approach. 

Panda was also part of a group photograph that was taken with Speaker Om Birla, along with all committee members, to mark the occasion.

"Appreciation to all members of the Select Committee of Lok Sabha for examining the Income-Tax Bill 2025 for their commitment and teamwork. The report was laid in the Lok Sabha yesterday. The Committee had worked with a team spirit and decided to have a group photo with Hon’ble Speaker @ombirlakota  Ji. Grateful to them for the hard work they put in completing this mammoth task on schedule, without seeking any time extension," wrote Panda on X.
