IMD issues Orange Warning for heat wave conditions in 10 Odisha districts

Yellow warning has been issued to as many as 11 districts.

Scorching heat wave conditions prevail in Odisha

Though the Nor’wester triggered rains brought a little respite from the scorching heat wave conditions in some parts of Odisha on Wednesday, India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that the intense heat wave conditions may prevail in several parts of the State on Thursday.

The Regional Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar has issued Orange Warning for heat wave conditions in as many as 10 districts of the State today. These districts are Nayagarh, Boudh, Angul, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Sonepur and Jharsuguda. Similarly, Yellow warning has been issued to as many as 11 districts.
