IAS Prathamesh Arvind Rajeshirke appointed commissioner of Berhampur Municipal Corporation

In a recent administrative reshuffle, the Odisha government has appointed Prathamesh Arvind Rajeshirke as the new Commissioner of the Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC). 

A 2021-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, Rajeshirke's appointment was confirmed through a notification issued by the General Administration and Public Grievance Department on Friday.

Prior to this new role, Rajeshirke was serving as the Sub-Collector of Balasore while simultaneously holding the additional responsibility of Executive Officer of Balasore Municipality.

The government has directed him to promptly relieve himself from his current duties and assume charge in Berhampur without delay.

The post of BeMC Commissioner has been accorded the status of Deputy Secretary in the state government hierarchy, the notification further stated.
