Trucks are stranded for as long as 17 km on both sides, cutting the ghat from the rest of the world. With no water facilities in the ghat, the truck drivers are going through a harrowing time. On the other hand, the lack of network connectivity in the ghat has further worsened the situation.

People stuck in the jam cannot even call their family and friends. Today being a working Monday, people on their way to offices are also stuck in the jam. As JCB and other machines cannot reach the spot, the damaged vehicle is still in the middle of the ghat, leading to the jam.
