With Holi celebrations around the corner, the Odisha Fire Services Department has undertaken extensive preparations to ensure public safety. Special response teams will be deployed at seven identified high-risk locations in the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack to prevent and respond to any emergency situations during Holi celebrations.

Identified Hotspots for Deployment

The Odisha Fire department has marked the following sensitive locations where special teams will be stationed:

Bhubaneswar: Bankuala, Kuakhai, Puri Canal, and Balianta Siphon.

Cuttack: Jobra, Devi Gada, and Gadakhai.

Advanced Equipment and Strike Force in Action

To enhance safety measures, the Odisha Fire Services department will deploy specialized units equipped with modern rescue gear, including:

Scuba divers and power boats for water-related emergencies.

Life buoys, life jackets, underwater cameras, and high-power lights for enhanced visibility and swift rescue operations.

Dedicated strike force teams to handle emergency situations efficiently.

Speaking on the preparations, the Chief Fire Officer stated, "All necessary precautions have been taken. Our teams are fully equipped and ready to handle any emergency during Holi celebrations. No compromises will be made in ensuring public safety."
