High drama unfolded near Banki court in Cuttack district after a woman dragged her husband by the collar after allegedly catching him with another lady.
As per sources, the woman alleged that her husband had come to the court to marry the second woman when she caught them both red-handed. The complainant has alleged that her husband used to torture her and she had even lodged a police complaint in connection with the domestic violence some six months back.
On Tuesday, the complainant got information about her husband who had come to the court to complete the formalities to marry another woman. On seeing the complainant, the second woman fled the spot. However, she caught hold of her husband, identified as Santosh Rout and both the couple entered into a tussle on the road.

Later, the complainant with the assistance of some locals took Santosh to the police station where he has been detained.
“I had trusted my husband as he assured me to treat well. He used to beat and torture me despite the assurance of changing his behaviour,” said the complaint. Meanwhile, no comments could be obtained from the accused Santosh or police officials in connection with the incident.
