The woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances, sparking alarm in Chakradharpur village under Harichandanpur police limits in Keonjhar. The deceased has been identified as Rojina Nayak, wife of Ayush doctor Bibhu Prasad Nayak, a resident of the same village.
Rojina’s body was discovered inside their residence. Circumstances surrounding her death remain unclear. Police have retrieved the body and initiated a detailed investigation into the incident. Earlier in another incident, the body of a young woman was spotted under mysterious circumstances in Bhadrak district’s Kaithakhola village on June 26, which had led to accusations of domestic violence. The victim woman’s parents alleged repeated abuse by her in-laws, especially after the birth of her girl child.
While the woman was identified as Saraswati Barik, her in-laws had denied the allegations, claiming the accusations to be baseless and that no domestic violence had occurred.
