Girls’ school hostel inmates in Odisha’s Malkangiri allege ‘ghost sighting’, shifted

In an unusual incident, some of the inmates of the Kadamguda Ashram School’s girls’ hostel under Khairput block in Malkangiri district were shifted to Badbel on Saturday after they complained of seeing a ghost in the toilet at night.

As per a report published in the New Indian Express, the girls were in a state of panic despite being assured of safety by the school authorities. They could not be convinced that it was only their psychological fear and a figment of their imagination. 

According to locals, as many as five to six students narrated their experiences of seeing the ghost in the toilet and the news spread like wildfire. The other students also got panicked following the development. 

As a result, the school authorities were forced to shift the students to Badbel.

Meanwhile, Khairput Block Education Officer (BEO) Santosh Kumar Panda assured that the students will be brought back to the hostel soon.
